Henry wins medalist honors to lead Muskingum to second-place finish

Sophomore Cameron Henry fired a one-over-par 73 to win medalist honors to lead Muskingum to a second-place finish in the nine-team field at the Wooster Nye Intercollegiate held at the Wooster County Club on Sunday. Muskingum shot a 325 to take second place and was only five shots off tournament winner Otterbein (320).

Henry finished first in the 58-golfer field and led the event in par-3 scoring (even) and par-5 scoring (-4). He also posted the only two eagles of the tournament. This marked the second event this spring that Henry has won medalist honors (Muskingum Spring Invitational at Zanesville Country Club).

Senior Trey Singleton finished tied for fourth with a 78. Singleton finished tied for fifth in par-3 scoring (+1) and tied for sixth in par-4 scoring (+6). 

Sophomore Ethan Miller finished tied for 28th with an 85. Miller ended play tied for sixth in par-5 scoring (even).

Sophomore Nicholas Luniewski carded an 89 to place 41st.

Freshman Riley Norris rounded out the Muskie scoring with a 92 to finish tied for 48th.

Muskingum next hosts Marietta in a dual at Cambridge Country Club on Friday, April 15.
