Men's Golf in sixth after opening round at Mount Union Invite

The Muskingum men's golf team finished round one of the Mount Union Invite in sixth place on Saturday evening.

The Basics

  • The event was held at the Tannenhauf Golf Course.
  • As a team, the Muskies shot a combined team score of 325 in round one.

On The Course

  • Leading the Muskies is junior Brenton Franks who tied for eighth, out of a 49-player field, shooting a 74.
  • Senior Thomas Green finished tied for 24th, shooting a 78.
  • Freshman Jonah Hanes finished tied for 41st, shooting an 86.
  • Freshman Lucas Huston finished in 44th place, shooting an 87.
  • Freshman Chase Karling finished tied for 45th, shooting an 88.
  • Mount Union finished the event in first place shooting a combined team score of 291.
  • Matt Eddins of Mount Union was the top golfer shooting a 67.
