The Muskingum men's golf team opened the fall season with Round 1 action at the Gatorade Collegiate Invite on Saturday. The Muskies finished with a team total of 309 and are tied for fifth place in the nine-team field heading into Round 2 on Sunday. The event is being held at the Zoar Village Golf Course.

Senior Thomas Green leads the Muskies and is fourth overall in the field of 54 golfers after Round 1 with a 72.

Junior Brenton Franks finished the round with a 77 and tied for 18th. Freshman Chase Karling finished with a 79 and tied for 25th.

Junior Preston Yeater finished with an 81 tied for 33rd, while freshman Jonah Hanes finished with an 84 for 46th.

Baldwin Wallace leads the field after the opening round with a 295. Wooster's Evan Ferrara leads the invite with a 67.

The Gatorade Collegiate Invite continues with Round 2 action on Sunday, September 1, at Zoar Village Golf Course.
