Men’s Golf Takes Fourth at Mount Union Fall Invitational

The Muskingum men's golf team competed at the Mount Union Fall Invitational two-day event at the Alliance Country Club on Sunday-Monday and tied for a four-place finish in the seven team field.

On the Course

  • Muskingum shot a 634 (329-305), while team winner Otterbein shot a 607 (310-297).
  • Junior Josh Blaustein led the Muskies with a 153 (75-78) as he tied for a fifth-place finish in the 57-player field.
  • Junior Christian Taylor shot 156 (79-77) to place 10th.
  • Senior Jacob Van Leeuwen carded a 159 (82-77) to finish tied for 15th.
  • Junior Gordie German tied for 38th after shooting a 166 (93-73).
  • Sophomore Nathaniel Bennett rounded out the Muskie scoring with a 177 (93-84) to finish tied for 48th.
  • Senior Josh Jarvis competed as an individual and shot 180 (91-89).
  • Logan Holbrook from Capital won medalist honors after shooting a 149 (80-69).

  • The Muskies will return to the course in the Spring at the OAC Championships at River Greens Golf Course which is a three-day event that runs from April 27-29, 2018.
