Lehn’s All-Tournament team performance leads the Muskies at the Mid-West Collegiate Championship

The Muskies traveled to Warren, Michigan, for the first Tier 1 tournament of the season. The field of 51 teams featured many of the nation's best teams in an early-season test.

Sophomore Jacob Lehn put together his best tournament in his Muskie career, averaging 231.2 for his five games. Lehn's performance landed him a 2nd-place finish and his first Tier 1 All-Tournament team. "We had a good look on Saturday and were able to see ball motion. Lehn was locked in, and if not for a couple of untimely splits in game 5, could have won the tournament," said Coach David Jones.

The Muskies, led by Lehn's performance, finished day one in 10th place. Jr. Talon Newton averaged 213.5, while Sr. Brody Wildenmann 197.4, So. Caelan Guthrie 196.4, and Sr. Drew Johnson 194.0 put in solid performances, positioning Muskingum for a run on day 2.

The Sunday portion featured 16 baker games, with a cut to the top 8 teams. The Muskies got off to a rough start and were never able to find momentum or consistent ball reaction, falling to a 25th-place finish.

"We struggled Sunday getting consistency with ball motion as we battled teams using urethane. That's the reality of college bowling at the present time," Coach Jones added. "We're continuing to see how teams are reacting to the coming rule changes and will adapt accordingly".
