Muskingum Men's Basketball Senior Duane Davis has earned back-to-back OAC Player of the Week Honors to start his senior season. Davis led the Muskies to a 2-0 record during the week, and 5-0 overall. Davis averaged 23.5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals a game this week with wins over La Roche and Westminster.
In the Muskies home opening win against La Roche (94-67), Davis tallied 16 points on 6 for 14 shooting from the field. Davis added 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Before the game, Davis was recognized for being the 33rd Muskingum Men's Basketball player to eclipse the 1,000 point mark. Davis hit this feat in the OAC semifinal game last year against John Carroll.
Davis totaled 31 points on 12 of 18 shooting, in the Muskies victory over Westminster (72-64). Davis added 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 block and 1 assist for the game. Davis dominated the second half, willing the Muskies to victory with 17 of his 31 points coming in the 2nd half.
Muskingum returns to action on November 25th at 6:00pm when they will host Earlham inside the Steele Center.
