The Muskingum men's basketball team shot past Kenyon on Wednesday night, 86-60.

• Junior Marcus Dempsey paced the Muskies' offense with 15 points and two assists.

Game Highlights
Muskingum quickly jumped to a 6-0 lead after Paige drained a three-pointer with 19:27 on the clock. Kenyon managed to hinder the Muskies' attack after O'Neil made two long-range shots, tying the game at 6 with 18:25 remaining. Clark knocked down a triple which ignited a 19-5 spurt for Muskingum, putting them up (25-11) at the 11:06 mark. Carter Powell made two free-throws, closing the deficit to 12 points (25-13) with 9:16 to play. Dempsey sank a basket from behind-the-arc to stop Kenyon's advance and spark a 12-5 run, making it 37-18 with 5:23 left in the half. Muskingum outscored Kenyon (12-7) in the final five minutes of the half, entering the break with a 49-27 advantage.

In the second half, senior Jayson Peoples hit a jumper to commence a 16-5 burst for the Muskies, giving them a powerful 33-point lead (65-32) at the 13:35 juncture. Over the next seven minutes, the teams traded baskets, with neither squad scoring more than five points in-a-row. Then Davis retaliated for Kenyon, making a layup at the 6:05 mark which decreased Muskingum's cushion to 25 points (76-51). The Muskies followed with an 8-3 span, thanks to a bucket from freshman Trey Singleton, increasing their margin to 30 points (84-54) with 3:24 left in the game. Muskingum maintained a dominant lead over Kenyon in the remaining three minutes to win the contest, 86-60.
