Muskingum football alum Damon Jones '18 has signed with the Salina Liberty of the Champions Indoor Football League.

Jones, an All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree, holds the school record for receiving yards in a season with 875 yards on 49 receptions. Throughout his career, he saw action in 39 games, registered 14 receiving touchdowns and had 1,818 receiving yards which ranks fourth all-time. 

The Salina Liberty are a professional indoor football team based in Salina, Kansas. The team was founded in 2016 as members of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF). The Liberty was named the 2018 CIF Darlene Jones Franchise of the Year. The Franchise of the Year Award is given to the best overall franchise during the season. Attendance, public relations, marketing, efforts to improve the CIF, performance on the field, community involvement and overall participation and representation of the CIF were all taken into consideration.
