Coach Bilski selected to College League of Legends Championship Selection Committee

Muskingum esports head coach Chris Bilski was recently selected to be a member of the College League of Legends Championship Selection Committee. The committee comprises 24 voters coming from a variety of backgrounds and current roles, including esports industry professionals, school faculty, CLOL alumni, and current students.

The committee's role is to select the final at large teams for the Collegiate League of Legends National Championship and determine the seeding for the teams participating. The Collegiate League of Legends Championship is the official League of Legends Championship event endorsed by Riot Games and includes hundreds of different teams from the United States and Canada!

"Being selected for the College League of Legends Championship Selection Committee is a tremendous honor," said coach Bilski. "Working in esports for the last five years, it is humbling to have the opportunity to play such an important role in the collegiate championship for League of Legends. I am excited to collaborate with the other committee members, and I look forward to the selection process!"

Under the guidance of coach Bilski, the Muskingum esports program has had remarkable success this season in The Arena. The Muskies have eclipsed a program-best 100 wins, registered a win against NCAA Division I Texas Christian (TCU), advanced to the Great Lakes Esports Conference playoffs in Rocket League, League of Legends, and Overwatch, and placed 17th in Valorent in the National Association of Collegiate Esports. Furthermore, the Muskies have several student-athletes ranked in the top-10 in the nation in Madden, including the top-ranked player, and won the national CSP Invitational in Overwatch.
