Baseball splits road doubleheader at Wilmington

The Muskingum baseball team split their road doubleheader at Wilmington on Friday afternoon. The Muskies took Game 1, 13-1, and fell in Game 2, 16-12.

  • Junior Jake Norris pitched a complete game for the Muskies allowing one run off eight hits. He notched eight strikeouts for the game.
  • The Muskies were led at the plate by senior Matt Stewart and sophomore Devin Ryan who each tallied three hits and one RBI.
  • Sophomore Allex Santacroce added three hits and two RBIs for Muskingum.

  • Muskingum used a run of their own scoring six runs in the sixth inning to take the lead, 11-8.
  • Wilmington responded with an 8-0 surge in the sixth to retake the lead, 16-11.
  • The Muskies gained a run in the ninth to make it, 16-12.
