Martin wins two championships during summer-league play

Muskingum University junior infielder Holden Martin helped lead the Onondaga Flames and Conway Cadets to league championships this summer.

He joined the Onondaga Flames in the New York Collegiate League which is a part of the National Alliance of College Summer baseball affiliated with the MLB. While pitching for the Flames, Martin went 1-0 in the 4 games and averaged one strikeout per inning. Martin batted .857 with four RBIs and three doubles.

Prior to his time with the Flames, Martin played with the Conway Cadets of the Beach Collegiate Baseball League. With the Cadets, Martin went 1-0 in 8.1 innings of work with 13 strikeouts. He also tallied six hits with four runs, two RBIs, one double, and added six steals.

Martin will return to the field for the Muskies this fall for preseason camp.
