Annual Muskingum Golf Outing Drives Support for 25 Varsity Teams
The Muskingum University Athletic Department hosted its annual Golf Outing on Friday, July 18, at EagleSticks Golf Club, and it was a day to remember!
The Muskingum University Athletic Department hosted its annual Golf Outing on Friday, July 18, at EagleSticks Golf Club, and it was a day to remember! From start to finish, the event was filled with camaraderie, laughter, and the shared pride of supporting Fighting Muskie Athletics. Alumni, student-athletes, coaches, staff, community members, and loyal supporters all came together to celebrate and champion Muskingum's 25 varsity teams.
This year's outing featured a full field of 34 teams and 136 golfers competing in an 18-hole scramble. Participants enjoyed a post-round dinner, a popular golf ball drop fundraiser, and an exciting online auction. Prizes were awarded for the top foursome and various hole contests, with all proceeds helping to create meaningful experiences for Muskie student-athletes.
"The collaboration between the Fighting Muskies Athletic Department and the professionals at EagleSticks truly creates an outstanding experience for our golfers and staff," said Muskingum Director of Athletics Kari Winters. "I continue to be in awe of the energy that this outing creates from the build-up through the final putt. Seeing so many reputable businesses and quality individuals show up for Muskingum Athletics showcases the impact that our department has on our alumni, on friends of Muskingum, and throughout this entire region."
