Muskingum Volleyball receives votes in AVCA Top 25 poll

The Muskingum volleyball team received votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll for the second week in a row. The Muskies appeared on two or more ballots and received a total of 73 points in the poll. 

Muskingum is 7-0 overall after competing at the Case Western Reserve University Invite last weekend and posting a 3-0 mark. Earlier this week, junior outside hitter Brooke Fatheree was honored with Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors after her stellar performance at the Case Western Invite. This season, the Muskies have surrendered just four total sets, claimed five straight-set victories, and have opened the year with seven straight wins. As a team, Muskingum has registered a total of 342 kills, 288 assists, 494 digs, and 26 total blocks. 

The Muskies next participate in the Carnegie Mellon Invite from Friday, September 13, to Saturday, September 14. The Muskies battle Scranton (2:00 p.m.) and 13th-ranked Hope (6:00 p.m.) on Friday and go head-to-head with Susquehanna (3:00 p.m.) and 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon (5:00 p.m.) on Saturday.
