Donathan named Coach of the Year and Fatheree, Dickson, Guist, and Cottle receive All-OAC accolades

The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Muskingum Volleyball Head Coach Hallie Donathan Coach of the Year for her outstanding performance this season. Additionally, Muskingum sophomore Brooke Fatheree was named First Team All-OAC, while sophomore Erin Dickson received Second Team All-OAC accolades. The sophomore tandem Jessica Cottle and Brynn Guist were both named Honorable Mention All-OAC.

Coach Donathan has directed the Muskies for three years. Within that time span, she has coached Muskingum to 60 victories and a win percentage of .670. This season, Donathan led the Muskies to an overall record of 25-7 and a 7-2 slate in the OAC. She coached Muskingum to 11 consecutive wins, 15 straight-set victories, and a spot in the OAC Tournament Finals for the first time since 2006. 

Fatheree recorded a team-best 452 kills this season. She finished the season second on the team in digs with 446 (3.81 digs per set) and first on the team in points with 500.5 (3.5 points per set). She ranked first in the OAC in kills with 452 and second in the OAC in kills per set with 3.86. Through her first two years, Fatheree has recorded 751 kills and 747 digs.

Dickson secured a team-high 1,210 assists, averaging 10.34 assists per set. She logged 120 kills, 198 digs, and 52 blocks. This season, Dickson was named OAC Player of the Week for her incredible performance against Mount Union and Baldwin Wallace. Dickson recorded 33 assists against the Purple Raiders, and 43 assists against the Yellow Jackets. Dickson ranked first in the OAC in assists and fifth in the conference in assists per set. Throughout her two years, Dickson has recorded 1,969 assists.

Cottle finished the season with a team-best 622 digs, locking in 5.46 digs per set. She dominated in service aces with 31. Cottle also notched 53 assists in 32 matches played. This season, Cottle ranked first in the OAC in digs and third in the OAC in digs per set.

Guist registered 326 kills this season, finishing second on the team in kills and kills per set. She recorded a team-high 100 blocks, 24 service aces, and 103 digs. Guist ranked fourth in the OAC in kills.
