The Muskingum volleyball team swept the Marietta Pioneers, 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-17) on Tuesday evening.

How It Happened
- Muskingum dominated in set one (25-14), two (25-13), and three (25-17).
- The Muskies were led by sophomore Brooke Fatheree who secured 12 kills, 11 digs, 12 points, and a .400 hitting percentage.
- Freshman Carson Miller added 9 kills on 15 attempts, with a hitting percentage of .467.
- Sophomore Erin Dickson recorded a team-best 34 assists.
- The backline was anchored by sophomore Jessica Cottle who registered 25 digs.
- Senior Jordan Youngs notched a team-best 5 service aces.
- The Muskies logged 48 kills, 45 assists, and 61 digs.
Inside The Sets
- In set one, the Muskies came out hot and took an early lead of 11-7. Muskingum recorded seven points in a row to expand the lead 19-8. The Pioneers chipped away at the differential, but the Muskies could not be halted. A kill by sophomore Kaitlin Goedde locked in the 25-14 victory for the Muskies.
- In set two, the Muskies and Pioneers fought neck and neck with neither team taking more than a three-point lead early on. The Muskies registered an 11-2 run to advance past the Pioneers with a score of 21-12. The Pioneers fought back, but the Muskies recorded the final four points to take the set.
- The Muskies took control of set three early on with a score of 16-9. A 7-3 run expanded the advantage for the Muskies. Marietta answered back with a four-point attack, but Muskingum was able to secure the win with a score of 25-17.

- The Muskies next host Heidelberg and Hiram on Saturday, October 27 for Senior Day and a Red Out. Muskie fans are encouraged to wear red to the games. The game schedule is as follows: Muskingum vs. Heidelberg at 12:00 p.m., Heidelberg vs. Hiram at 2:00 p.m., Muskingum vs. Hiram at 4:00 p.m. Seniors will be honored before the start of the Hiram game.
