Volleyball hammers Kenyon

The Muskingum volleyball team hammered Kenyon on Thursday night in the Recreation Center, 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-16).

With the win, the Muskies improved to 14-6 overall. Muskingum next completes at the Franklin & Marshall Tri on Saturday, September 27. The Muskies will play Ursinus at 2:00 p.m. and Franklin & Marshall at 4:00 p.m.

Junior Brooke Scott led the team with 10 kills, while freshman Taylour Fatheree added eight kills. Sophomore Katie Hunt notched six kills and four blocks and freshman Chloe Brandewie had six kills and three blocks.

Freshman Taylor Mathews directed the attack with 23 assists and sophomore Kayleigh Hendrix logged 12 assists.

Defensively, junior Lane Browning registered 14 digs and freshman Deidre Prince recorded 10 digs.

Kenyon (2-13) was paced by Lauren Kerr's 10 kills.

Rachael Thorson and Katie Goulder each had 14 digs to pace the Kenyon defensive effort.
