Wiles leads Women's Outdoor Track and Field at the Muskingum Invitational

Sophomore Tristen Wiles finished first in the javelin to lead the Muskingum women's track and field team at the Muskingum Invitational.

The Basics 

  • Location: New Concord, Ohio - McConagha Stadium
  • Muskingum also hosted the All-Ohio Multi Championships

In the Field 

  • Wiles led the Muskies claiming first in the javelin with a toss of 32.21 meters.
  • In the high jump, freshman Justine Skatzes finished second with a height of 1.30 meters.
  • Junior Abby Weiland claimed a third place finish in the javelin with a throw of 27.41 meters, followed by junior Hannah Doore in sixth with a toss of 18.43 meters.
  • Freshman Jordan Prall led Muskingum in the long jump finishing sixth with a leap of 4.44 meters.
  • Sophomore Reannah Martin finished seventh in the pole vault clearing a height of 2.90 meters.
  • Senior Laikin Lauvray claimed an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 3.83 meters, while Weiland finished ninth in the pole vault with a height of 2.74 meters.
  • In the triple jump, Doore finished 10th with a jump of 9.26 meters.

On the Track

  • Senior Julie Fobes finished second in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 2:19.67.
  • Senior Hannah Gregory claimed a fourth place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:59.39.
  • In the 1,500-meter run, sophomore Reilly Walsh finished sixth with a time of 5:10.62, while Doore claimed a sixth place finish in the 100-hurdles with a time of 17.62.
  • Freshman Jordan Prall took 10th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.30.
  • Skatzes also claimed a 10th place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.41.

All-Ohio Multi Championships

  • Freshman Emily Ellyson led the Muskies at the All-Ohio Multi Championships finishing fifth with 3,179 points.
  • Sophomore Kimberly Taylor finished sixth overall with 2,971 points.
  • In the high jump, Ellyon finished second with a height of 1.52 meters.
  • Ellyson also captured a top finish in the long jump finishing third with a leap of 4.73 meters.
  • Ellyson claimed a fourth place finish in the javelin throw with a toss of 21.54 meters and a fourth palce finish in the shot put with a pitch of 8.40 meters.
  • She finished third in the 100-hurdles with a time of 17.16 and sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 3:17.45.
  • Ellyson finished sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.66.
  • In the high jump, Taylor took third with a height of 1.49 meters and finished third in the long jump with a leap of 4.72 meters.
  • Taylor took fifth in the javelin with a distance of 20.91 meters and sixth in the shot put with a toss of 6.88 meters.
  • The sophomore finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:46.45 and finished sixth in the 100-hurdles with a time of 21.48.
  • In the 200-meter dash, Taylor took third with a time of 29.04.
