Muskie women capture second at Ohio Wesleyan

The Muskingum women's indoor track and field team finished second at the Ohio Wesleyan Triangular on Friday, where junior Josie Baum and freshmen Hailey Ferguson and Alexis Ricker all had first-place finishes.

What Happened

  • Junior Josie Baum helped lead the Muskies with a first place finish in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:34.00.
  • Freshman Hailey Ferguson finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.98.
  • Freshman Alexis Ricker finished first in high jump with a mark of 1.44 meters.
  • Freshman Kimberly Taylor placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.69 and third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:10.33.
  • In high jump, freshman Michelle Gaggiano finished second with a mark of 1.44 meters.
  • Freshman Reannah Martin placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.83, tied for third in pole vault with a mark of 2.62 meters, and fifth in long jump with a mark of 4.52 meters.
  • Freshman Heidi Snipes finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:50.17 and fourth in the one mile run with a time of 6:21.38.
  • Senior Alison Gillilan finished third in weight throw with a mark of 12.89 meters and fourth in shot put with a mark of 9.63 meters.
  • Senior Denise Labis placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 3:01.20.
  • Freshman Maria Brehm placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 31.86 and fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 11.64.
  • Freshman Allyson Campbell placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.61, tied for third in pole vault with a mark of 2.62 meters, and fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 32.63.
  • Freshman Keely Ames finished fifth in the one mile run with a time of 6:38.87.
  • Junior Laikin Lauvray finished sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 9.49 and sixth in long jump with a mark of 4.34 meters.  
  • The 4x200-meter relay team of Ferguson, Gaggiano, Brehm, and Martin finished second with a time of 2:01.19.
  • The 4x400-meter relay team of Ferguson, Snipes, Kimberly, and Labis placed second with a time of 4:49.45.
