Women's Tennis falls to Thiel

The Muskingum women's tennis team fell to the Thiel Tomcats on Friday, 7-2.

Thiel secured back-to-back doubles to jump out to an early 3-0 lead over the Muskies. The Tomcats secured four-of-six singles play to lock in the 7-2 triumph over Muskingum.

The doubles pair of freshman Gracie Andrews and junior Kayla Hall provided a spark for the Muskies in first doubles. Andrews and Hall dropped a hard-fought 5-8 battle to Natalie Zgurich and Angela Campbell. Andrews led the charge for the Muskies in first singles. Andrews recorded a dominating 6-0, 6-0 victory over Shyann Foreman. Sophomore Sara Welsh locked in an exhilarating 3-6, 6-3 (10-3) win over Campbell in third singles. 

The Muskies next battle Shawnee State on Saturday, October 5. Start time is slated for 12:00 p.m.
