Women’s Soccer plays to a 0-0 draw against Earlham

The Muskingum women's soccer team played Earlham to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened 

  • After a back-and-forth defensive battle, each team racked off six first-half shots.
  • The second half saw Earlham have a 14-4 advantage in shots over the Muskies but eight saves from junior Kelly Buck kept Muskingum deadlocked with the Quakers.
  • Both teams were unable to find the back of the net in the second half and the contest ended as a 0-0 draw. 

Inside the Numbers

  • Sophomore Morgan Meisel led the Muskingum attack with four shots.
  • Sophomore Madison Yenke added two shots of her own to contribute to Muskingum's offensive efforts.
  • Senior Bekah Knight, senior Skyllar Strong, freshman Emily Kaylor, and sophomore Jillian Laposky rounded out the Muskingum offense with one shot apiece.
  • Junior Kelly Buck snagged 10 saves in 90 minutes of work in goal for the Muskies.
  • Eva Lyon led the Quaker offense with eight shots.
  • Earlham goalkeeper Makayla Hurey made three saves in goal.
  • As a team, Earlham held a 20-10 edge in shots.
