Muskingum Women’s Soccer Head Coach Mary Beth Caudill to Retire

The Muskingum University Athletic Department has announced that women's soccer head coach Mary Beth Caudill will be retiring from coaching at the end of the semester.

Caudill has been at the helm of the program since 1996. During her tenure, she has guided the Muskies to record-breaking campaigns, which included a trip to the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament Final Four. Muskingum has also been honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics/Sportsmanship Award nearly every year under Caudill's guidance and was also recognized for its academic excellence in the classroom by being honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award over 20 times.

Furthermore, numerous student-athletes have garnered conference, regional, and national honors under Caudill's tutelage. Caudill has also served on the Executive Board of the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association for the last decade, which included serving as President.

"For the past 24 years, I've been blessed to work with so many outstanding student-athletes, coaches, parents, alumni, and administrators," said Coach Caudill. "I'm truly grateful for the opportunity that Muskingum gave me that allowed me to follow my passion for coaching and positively impact the lives of student-athletes."

"During her time at Muskingum, Mary Beth skillfully extended our vision of academic and athletic excellence going hand-in-hand," said Vice President and Athletic Director Steve Brockelbank. "We thank Mary Beth for her dedication to the University, and we wish her the best moving forward."

A national search will be conducted for Muskingum's next women's soccer coach.
