The Muskingum women's soccer team couldn't get pass the Yellow Jackets as they fell to Waynesburg on Wednesday night, 2-0.

The Breakdown

  • The Yellow Jackets got the scoring started early in the first half with a goal from Leesha Wagner from about 30 yards out in the 23rd minute to make it 1-0.
  • Waynesburg added their second goal late in the second half from Maddy Manz with a blast from 25 yards out in the 71st minute to make the final score 2-0.
  • Freshman Janae Johnson led the Muskies with two shots, both of them on goal. 
  • Junior Mary Double, freshman Meghan Carpenter, freshman Jenna Jordan, freshman Bekah Knight, senior Elena Kozelek, and freshman Monique Reil all added one shot and one shot on goal on the night.
  • Junior Katie Bodenmiller played all 90 minutes in goal for the Muskies and had two saves.
  • Leesha Wagner led the Yellow Jackets offense with four shots and one goal.
  • Maddy Manz added three shots and one goal for Waynesburg.
  • Christina Golonka also added three shots on the night for the Yellow Jackets
  • Waynesburg goalkeeper Autumn Blair made seven saves in goal.
