Women's Soccer ranks among nations best for Academic Excellence

The Muskingum women's soccer team continued its impressive performance of academic excellence by being honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 20th time.

The Muskies rank seventh all-time nationally in the number of times achieving this honor. The award spans across both genders for the sport and includes every National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) division, every National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) division, and every National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) division.

The Muskies, under the direction of Head Coach Mary Beth Caudill, have been honored with the high-academic distinction 20 times since the inception of the award in 1996.

The United Soccer Coaches organization annually celebrates the academic achievements of college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.

College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
