McKell, O'Dell and Waite named captains for women's soccer

Muskingum head women's soccer coach Mary Beth Caudill has announced the selection of captains for the 2017 season. Senior defender Lauren McKell, senior forward Natalie O'Dell and junior midfielder Rachael Waite will lead the Muskies during their fall campaign.

McKell has helped anchor the Muskie backline for the past three years. During that span, she has played in 52 games. This marks the second straight year that McKell will lead the Muskies as a captain. She is an athletic training major from Chillicothe, Ohio.

O'Dell has played in 48 games throughout her tenure and has tallied one goal and one assist. She is an early childhood education major from Warren, Ohio.

Waite, who returned from an injury last season, has played in 26 games as a midfielder and defender and has registered one goal and two assists. She is a chemistry major from Nashport, Ohio.

Muskingum will open the 2017 season at Pitt-Greensburg on Friday, September 1. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The Muskie home opener is slated for Sunday, September 3 against Chatham at 4:00 p.m. The contest will mark the Muskingum's Parents' Day celebration.
