BW rallies past Muskingum in second half

Muskingum had a 1-0 first-half lead dissipate in the second frame as Baldwin Wallace scored three unanswered goals to rally past the Muskies on a cold, rainy day in Berea, 3-1.

  • Notes: The game marked the Ohio Athletic Conference opener for both teams. 

How It Happened

  • Muskingum junior captain Morgan Price put the Muskies up 1-0 in the 12th minute on her second goal of the season. She ended the outing with a team-best two shots.
  • BW tied the contest in the 50th minute on Alex Elliott's goal that was assisted by Allie Lehky.
  • The Yellow Jackets took the lead in the 77th minute on Rachel Bender's strike.
  • BW completed the scoring in the 85th minute on Courtney Schutz's goal. Elliott registered the assist.
  • Baldwin Wallace ended the outing with a 25-3 advantage in shots and held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.
  • Sophomore Miranda Bishop logged one shot for the Muskies to help aid the effort.

Between The Pipes

  • Junior Liz Mitchell played 77 minutes in frame for Muskingum and made eight saves and allowed two goals. Freshman Heather Maxwell played the final 13 minutes in goal and allowed one goal.
  • Emily Tallmadge played the entire game in frame for the Yellow Jackets and made two saves and allowed one goal.
