Ohio Northern handed the Muskingum women's soccer team a 3-0 setback on Saturday afternoon in Ada.

The Polar Bears (9-6-1, 5-2) struck first in the 19th minute on a goal by Kristina Klusek.

Anna Niemeyer added Ohio Northern's second tally in the 28th minute.

ONU completed the scoring in 55th minute on a strike by Michaela Gutierrez.

Muskingum senior Melissa Emmerich played the opening 45 minutes in frame and made six  saves and allowed two goals. Sophomore Liz Mitchell played the final 45 minutes and made three saves and allowed one goal.

Emily Brodict recorded the shutout in frame for the Polar Bears.

Muskingum (9-6-1, 2-5) next travels to Wilmington on Wednesday, October 29. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
