School records fall in Women's Lacrosse rout of Waynesburg

The Muskingum women's lacrosse team erupted for a school record 22 goals and 23 draw controls en route to its 22-2 dominating win against Waynesburg on Tuesday night.

• Muskingum scored a school record 22 goals against the Yellow Jackets to break the previous mark of 21 goals set versus Thiel in 2018.
• The Muskies also set the school record for draw controls with 23. The prior record was 19 draw controls set against Heidelberg in 2017.
• Sophomore Hannah Bailey tied the record for assists in a game with three. Bailey now shares the record with Emily Hoffman, who tallied three assists versus Heidelberg University in 2017.
• The victory marked Muskingum Head Coach Taylor Graf's first career win.

• Junior Dani Crisp, sophomore Courtney Hines, and freshman Carly Spitz led the Muskie offensive onslaught with five goals each. Spitz also had one assist and nine draw controls, while Hines logged one draw control.
• Senior Amber Swartwood cashed in three goals on six shots and tallied two assists.
• Senior Breanna Bailey notched two goals on two shots.
• Sophomore Hannah Bailey dished out a record-tying three assists and scored one goal.
• Freshman McKenzie Fuller registered one goal and had a game-high 12 draw controls. 
• Freshman Jacie Clifton recorded one draw control. 
• Muskingum ended the outing with an overwhelming 33-6 advantage in shots.
• Sophomore Cieanna Jones played all 60 minutes in frame for the Muskies. 
• Jackie Adler and Kristyn Byler led the Yellow Jackets with one goal each.
• Riley Yoder played the entire contest in goal and made six saves and allowed 22 goals.

• Muskingum jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game.
• The Muskies continued to control play by scoring six more goals before the end of the first half, entering the break with a 16-0 cushion.
• In the second half, Muskingum stayed hot and fired in two quick goals at the start of play.
• The Yellow Jackets managed to score two goals, but Muskingum remained in the driver's seat and rode its momentum to a home victory. 

• Muskingum next hosts Hiram on Saturday, March 16. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
