Women's lacrosse stumbles at Heidelberg

The Muskingum women's lacrosse team stumbled at Heidelberg on Friday afternoon. The Berg handed the Muskies an 18-8 setback.

Game Highlights

  • Heidelberg scored six straight goals over a seven-minute span in the first half to take an 8-2 lead and grab the early momentum. Muskingum trimmed its deficit to 8-5 with 10 minutes play in the half, but the Student Princes answered the Muskie charge with four straight goals to take a 12-5 lead into the break. Heidelberg doubled up the Muskies in the second frame outscoring Muskingum 6-3 to claim the Ohio Athletic Conference win.

  • Courtney Hines led the Muskies with a career-high three-goal, one-assist performance.
  • Kaeleigh Norvet added two goals and Ashley Adams had one goal and one assist.
  • Paige Watterman and Sydni Uhrig rounded out the Muskie scoring with one goal each.
  • Muskingum ended the outing with eight goals on 19 shots.
  • Kate Shamel played all 60 minutes in goal and made 10 saves.
  • Angela Lulejian led Heidelberg with eight goals and one assist.
