Muskingum juniors Paige Watterman and Erin Riley have been honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for their excellence in the classroom.
Watterman, a business management and health administration double major, had a career-best year with 30 goals, eight assists, 31 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers.
Riley, an athletic training major, posted career-best numbers with five goals, three assists, 10 ground balls and five caused turnovers.
The duo helped lead Muskingum to a record-setting year with numerous school records being set including most wins overall (7), most wins in the OAC (3), most goals scored in a game (21), most combined team points in a game (23/18 goals/5 assists) and most goals scored in a season (148).
To be eligible for the 2017 IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
