The Muskingum women's lacrosse team dropped its season opener at Transylvania, Ky. Saturday afternoon, 13-6.

Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum found themselves trailing early before a goal by junior Paige Watterman with 28:25 to play in the opening half tied the contest at 1-1.
- Minutes later, junior Kaeleigh Norvet connected for her first goal of the season knotting the contest once more, 2-2.
- The Transylvania offense exploded in the final 10 minutes of the half taking the 9-5 lead at the break.
- The Pioneers tacked on four more goals in the second half en route to the 13-6 victory.
Game Notes
- Watterman and Norvet led the way for the Muskies netting two goals each.
- Juniors Sydni Uhrig and Erin Riley both scored one goal each.
- In goal, junior Kate Shamel recorded 21 saves.
- Muskingum ended the outing with 12 shots, eight of which were on goal.
- Emma Oliver led the way for the Pioneers connecting for a game-high seven goals.
