The Muskingum women's basketball team is under the guidance of veteran head coach Beth Fox. This season, the Muskies are looking to be competitive in both non-conference and conference games and to lock in an Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament bid during the 2018-19 season.

Coach Fox has a plethora of veteran players this year as she has five returning letterwinners back from a last season. Those five players include sophomore guard Emily Yeager, sophomore guard and forward Kacie Leppla, sophomore guard and forward Alivia Bates, junior guard and forward Morgan Gossett, sophomore guard Hannah Carroll, and sophomore post Gabbi Blair.

Yeager played in 23 games, averaging 21.6 minutes per game. She tallied 55 rebounds, 22 assists, and 21 steals. She scored 175 points, averaging 7.6 points per game.

Leppla averaged five points per game, finishing the season with a total of 126 points. Leppla made 74.5% of her free throws, putting her in the top five on the team in free throws.

Bates played in 24-of-25 games last season. She scored 66 points, grabbed 48 rebounds, registered nine steals, and five blocks for the Muskies.

In her first season, Blair played in 18 games averaging 7.7 minutes on the court. She ended the campaign with 28 rebounds and 11 blocks.

Coach Fox will also be looking for Gossett and Carroll to add experience to the team, coupled with a strong recruiting class.

Muskingum tips-off the season at St. Vincent on Friday, November 9. The game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Muskingum's home opener is scheduled for Wednesday, November 28, against Wooster at 7:00 p.m.
