Women’s Basketball welcomes Wilmington Wednesday and visit Ohio Northern Saturday

The Muskingum women's basketball team will welcome Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Wilmington to the Anne C. Steele Center on Wednesday, January 31 and travel to NCAA Division III #15 Ohio Northern on Saturday, February 3. The games are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., respectively. The Muskies will also be holding their annual Pink Game on Wednesday against Wilmington.

  • The Muskingum University women's basketball team was defeated 61-53 at Capital on Wednesday night. Alexandra Carson paced the Muskies with a team-best 20 points, while adding four steals and three rebounds. On Saturday afternoon, Muskingum fell, 65-47, at John Carroll. Carson led the Muskies with 13 points and tied a season-high eight rebounds. She also added four assists and two steals.
  • Olivia Besancon is first on the team and second in the OAC in points per game (16.5).
  • In the league, Carson is seventh in assists per game (2.9) and points per game (12.9).
  • Stephanie Clark is eighth in the conference in rebounds per game (7.3). Her season-high is 16 rebounds in Muskingum's 67-60 victory over Eureka.
