Women’s Basketball takes on Capital and Baldwin Wallace in OAC action

The Muskingum women's basketball team will continue Ohio Athletic Conference play this week as they travel to Capital on Thursday and welcome Baldwin Wallace on Saturday. The games are set to start at 7:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., respectively, with Saturday's game marked as Muskingum's Hoops for Hunger. Free admission with a canned food or non-perishable item. All donations will be donated to the New Concord Food Pantry.

  • Senior Olivia Besancon erupted a career-high 36 points to lift the Muskingum women's basketball team past John Carroll 103-97 in triple overtime in their Ohio Athletic Conference opener Saturday afternoon in the Anne C. Steele Center. Besancon also added a career-high nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Senior Alexandra Carson registered a career-high 23 points, six rebounds, and four steals, while junior Dana Parkman notched her first double-double of the season, finishing with 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds.
