Muskingum names Anna Kirk assistant coach of softball

Anna Kirk has been named assistant coach of the Muskingum softball program.

Prior to bringing her talents to Muskingum, Kirk served as an assistant coach at The Ohio State University from 2017-19. While at Ohio State, she developed hitting and defensive practices weekly with 13 student-athletes. Her other responsibilities included recruiting, gameday preparation and management, and developing travel schedules. In 2019, Kirk helped guide the Buckeyes to a 35-18 overall record, their eighth straight season with at least 30 wins. The Buckeyes also made their fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Within that year, Kirk coached six All-Big Ten honorees, five players who earned NFCA All-Region teams, and two National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American award winners.

Kirk played for four years at Ohio State where she earned All Big Ten Defensive Team (2017), Academic All-Big Ten (2015-17), and Ohio State Scholar Athlete (2014-17) accolades. She graduated from Ohio State in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Sport Industry with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences.
