Softball recieves votes in the NFCA Division III Top 25 poll

The Muskingum softball team received votes in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll. The Muskies received eight points in the poll. The NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll is selected by Division III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.

The Muskies are currently 31-9 overall with a 15-3 mark in the OAC after sweeping OAC foe Ohio Northern on Saturday. With this sweep, the Muskies clinched the OAC Regular Season Championship and secured the top-seed and hosting rights for the OAC Softball Tournament.

As a team, Muskingum is batting .354 and averaging 10.3 hits and 7.3 runs per game. The Muskie pitching staff sports a 3.28 ERA and is holding hitters to a .278 batting average.

The Muskingum softball team will host the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Tournament on May 3-5 at the Donna J. Newberry Field in New Concord, Ohio.  The Muskies play the Otterbein Cardinals on Friday, May 3 at 12:00 p.m. in game two of the tournament.
