The Muskingum softball team received votes in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll. The Muskies received six points in the poll. The NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll is selected by Division III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.
The Muskies currently stand at 4-1 during their play at the Sunkissed Games in Plant City, Florida. Throughout the opening five games, Muskingum is batting .327 and averaging 9.6 hits, and six runs per game. The Muskie pitching staff is sporting a 2.20 ERA and holding hitters to a .214 batting average.
Muskingum plays seven more games in Florida before returning home. The Muskies first doubleheader in Ohio is at Wittenberg on March 19, and their home opener is slated for March 20 against Ohio Wesleyan.
