Hughes and Debolt named NFCA All-Central Region

Muskingum University junior outfielder Krissy Hughes has been named NFCA First Team All-Central Region, while senior designated player/pitcher Haylea Debolt earned Third Team All-Central Region for softball.

Hughes captured her second straight NFCA honors after leading the Muskies in batting average (.457), stolen bases (19), hits (64), runs scored (41), slugging percentage (.721), and triples (4). In addition, she finished second on the team in home runs with five and also belted 14 doubles and had 31 RBIs.

Debolt earned her first NFCA honors after she led the squad in RBIs (40), while batting .346. In addition, she was second on the team in doubles (13) and was fourth in runs scored (23). From the circle, she held a 2.98 ERA, which ranked seventh in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Debolt also led the team in saves with two.

Earlier this month, Hughes earned her second straight First Team All-OAC honors, while Debolt tallied her first Second Team All-OAC accolade.

All-Region players are nominated and selected by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association member coaches.
