The Muskingum softball team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader at Heidelberg on Saturday. Heidelberg won the opener 6-2 and won game two, 3-1.

Game One
- Junior Abigail Orr led Muskingum at the plate going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
- Junior Melissa Maiorano finished 1-for-4 with one homerun and a run scored.
- As a team, Muskingum scored two runs on eight hits.
- Sophomore Rachel Eberling dealt the loss for the Muskies pitching a complete game allowing six runs on 12 hits.
- Taylor Hicks led Heidelberg at the dish going 3-for-4 with a RBI.
- In the circle, Erin Chapman claimed the win surrendering two runs on eight hits.
- Muskingum captured the early 1-0 advantage in the top of the first inning as Maiorano hit a homerun to right center.
- Heidelberg responded in the bottom half of the inning tying the contest, 1-1.
- The Muskies continued to battle at the plate as Orr recorded a RBI single to put Muskingum back on top in the second inning, 2-1.
- The Student Princes rallied tying the contest in the bottom of the fifth and scored three runs in the sixth inning en route to the win.
Game Two
- The Muskingum bright spot came in the third inning as senior Jessica Matthews singled to center scoring Orr.
- Heidelberg capitalized on a Muskie miscue in the sixth inning scoring three runs to claim the win.
- At the plate, Muskingum was led by Matthews going 1-for-3 with a RBI.
- Senior Haley Dotson took the loss throwing a complete game giving up three runs on two hits.
- Heidelberg scored three runs on two hits led by Randi Kelsey going 1-for-3 with three RBI's.
- Kaitlyn Moore moved to 8-4 overall with the win pitching seven innings and striking out seven.
