Men's track & field captures fifth at Wittenberg

The Muskingum men's track & field team captured fifth place in the 11-team field at the Wittenberg Invitational on Friday.

Meet Highlights

  • Senior Blake Weidner took first in the high jump with a clearance of 6-4 and placed second in the long jump with a leap of 21-7.25.
  • Senior Jeff Burkholder won the shot put with a heave of 57-7 and finished sixth in the discus with a toss of 133-3.
  • Freshman Louie Reicher finished second in the shot put with a mark of 49-9, took third in the hammer with a toss of 155-03, and placed seventh in the discus with a throw of 133-1.
  • Senior Nick Despot captured second in the javelin with a throw of 164-4.
  • Freshman Kevin Dreyer placed third in the javelin with a mark of 156-6.
  • As a team, Muskingum scored 65 points. Rose-Hulman won the meet with a score of 188.5.
