Darren McCaughan, Chris Lardie and Nick Despot all earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors at the OAC Championships hosted by Wilmington on Friday-Saturday.
The Basics
- Location: Wilmington, Ohio - Wilmington College
- Results: Muskingum scored 45.5 points to finish seventh in the 10-team field. Mount Union won the team title with 202 points.
The Performances
- Darren McCaughan won the long jump with a leap of 23-2. The top three in each event are honored with All-OAC accolades.
- Chris Lardie finished second in the triple jump with a mark 44-2.50.
- Nick Despot took second in the javelin with a throw of 177-10.
- Casey Phillips placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.59.
- Jeffrey Burkholder placed fifth in the shot put with a heave of 48-8.25.
- Darrell Briggs finished seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.78.
- Blake Weidner took seventh in the high jump with a leap of 6-00.50.
- Dominic Bell finished seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 13-5.25.
- The Muskingum 4x100 team of McCaughan, Phillips, Fred Stinson and Desmond Waden placed eighth with a time of 44.05.
- The Muskie 4x800 squad of Corey Dillon, Andrew Murray, Anthony Kall and Zachary Fuhrer took eighth with a time of 8:41.76.
