Muskingum men have strong showing at Muskie Duals

The Muskingum men's outdoor track & field team fought through the weather elements on a cold day in McConagha Stadium on Saturday to finish fourth in the 11-team field at the Muskie Duals. 

The Basics

  • Muskingum scored 92 points to finish fourth.
  • Ohio Northern won the event with 186.5 points.
  • The event was held at the Johnson Family Track in McConagha Stadium.

Inside The Numbers

  • Jeff Burkholder won the shot put with a heave of 48-00.
  • Dominic Bell won the pole vault with a clearance of 12-11.5.
  • Justin Marthaler captured first in the javelin with a toss of 158-11.
  • Marty Vajen took second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.86.
  • Casey Phillips placed second in the 110-hurdles with a time of 15.94. He also finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 37-8.
  • The 4x100 relay squad of Desmond Waden, Devan Boyer, Fred Stinson and Darren McCoughan finished second with a time of 45.63.
  • Jordan Wallace took third in the high jump with a mark of 6-0.50.
  • Nick Despot placed third in the javelin with a throw of 151-00.
