Men's Indoor Track and Field looks for a strong campaign this season

The Muskingum men's indoor track and field team, led by head coach Ashley Shaffer and Director of Track and Field Operations Jake Gleason, will look to make a statement on the track and in the field this winter. The Muskies return a wealth of talent that features 17 letterwinners and a top-notch recruiting class.

The Muskies are led by senior Adam Fox, sophomore Aaron Johnston, senior Logan Skolosh, and senior Doug McIntire.

Fox had a tremendous season last year for the Muskies. He finished the year ranked first on the team in the heptathlon (3,995 points), triple jump (11.63 meters), long jump (6.19 meters), pole vault (4.31 meters), high jump (1.87 meters), and 55-meter hurdles (8.46).  Fox also earned All-OAC honors in pole vault at the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Johnston ended the season with a team-best 55-meters time of 7.03. He also registered a career-best 200-meters time of 24.49 and a career-high weight throw distance of 14.41 meters. Skolosh directed the Muskies with a team-low 500-meters time of 1:11.53. He also notched a 400-meters time of 55.39 at the OWU Open.

McIntire guided the Muskies on the track with a team-best 800-meters time of 2:06.47. He also recorded a career-low 1,000-meters time of 2:50.20 at the Pioneer Open and secured a team-best mile time of 4:46.19 at the OWU Open. McIntire rounded out his efforts for the Muskies with a team-best 3,000-meters time of 10:03.08.

Muskingum begins their season on Saturday, December 7 at the Marietta Invitational.
