Muskies finish fourth at the OAC Split Meet

The Muskingum men's track and field team captured a fourth place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference split meet hosted by Marietta Friday.

The Basics

What Happened

  • Junior Blake Weidner led the way for the Muskies claiming a second place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.20 meters.
  • In the 1,000-meter run, freshman Doug McIntire placed third with a time of 2:47.63.
  • McIntire also teamed up with freshman Logan Skolosh, sophomore Andrew Murray and freshman Josh Weigand in the distance medley taken third in a time of 12:07.53.
  • Senior Andre Buffington finished third in the weight throw with a pitch of 15.18 meters.
  • Sophomore Jordan Wallace took fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.78 meters.
  • Junior Darrell Briggs claimed a fifth place finish in the high jump with a distance of 1.73 meters. He also finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.10 meters.
  • In the 400-meter dash, junior Fred Stinson took fifth in a time of 54.87.
  • Stinson, sophomore Devan Boyer, freshman John Soppanish and McIntire claimed a fifth place finish in the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 3:52.57.
  • Junior Jeffrey Burkholder led the Muskies in the shot put finishing fifth with a toss of 14.09 meters, while senior Alex Sullivan took sixth with a distance of 12.50 meters.
  • Freshman Isaish Abel, Boyer, senior Desmond Waden and Stinson also claimed a fifth place finish in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:38.81.
  • In the 55-meter hurdles, Briggs finished sixth in a time of 8.24.
  • Freshman Jacob McGee took sixth in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 11:12.93, while freshman Dustin Hardesty claimed sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:12.41.
  • Soppanish also took sixth in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:51.76.
