Muskie men capture 11th at All-Ohio Championships

The Muskingum men's track & field indoor captured 11th at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Otterbein on Saturday.

The Basics

  • Location: Westerville, Ohio – Otterbein University
  • All-Ohio Results: Muskingum scored 20.50 points to finish 11th in the 17-team field.

Heptathlon

  • Sophomore Darrell Briggs earned All-Ohio honors with his second-place finish in the heptathlon. He finished second in the 60-meter dash (7.42), 1000-meter run (3:05.28) and the 60-meter hurdles (8.78). He took third in the long jump (19-7.50). 

On The Track

  • Briggs finished ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.65.

In The Field

  • Senior Chris Lardie finished fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 42-6.75.
  • Freshman Darren McCaughan placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 21-9.50.
  • Sophomore Blake Weidner placed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 6-2.
  • Junior Andre Buffington finished 10th in the weight throw with a heave of 48-00.50.
  • Sophomore Jeffrey Burkholder took ninth in the shot put with a mark of 44-9.50.
  • Freshman Casey Phillips placed 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 39-2.25.
