The Muskingum men's track & field team powered past the competition on Friday night at the Baldwin Wallace Invitation en route to capturing second place.
The Basics
- Location: Berea, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace – Harrison Dillard Center
- Results: Muskingum scored 133 points to finish second in the seven-team field. Baldwin Wallace won the event with 226 points.
On The Track
- Senior Desmond Waden led the charge with a first-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24:09.
- Senior Marty Vajen took second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.99.
- Freshman Brady Hall placed second in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:57.67.
- Sophomore Fred Stinson finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53:54.
- Junior Corey Dillon finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.04.
- Sophomore Darrell Briggs took fourth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8:08.
- The 4x400 relay squad finished second with a time of 3:40.05.
- The 4x200 relay team took fourth with a time if 1:37.69.
In The Field
- Senior Chris Lardie finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 41-11.25 and took third in the long jump with a leap of 20-1.50.
- Blake Weidner finished second in the high lump with a mark of 6-0.75.
- Freshman Jordan Wallace finished third in the high jump with a leap of 6-0.75.
- Freshman Casey Phillips placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 38-1.50.
- Sophomore Jeffrey Burkholder finished third in the shot put with a heave of 46-11.50.
- Junior Andre Buffington placed fourth in the weight throw with a distance of 46-2.50.
