Muskie men finish second at Ohio Wesleyan

Junior Andre Buffington placed first in weight throw and freshman Darren McCaughan grabbed a first-place finish in long jump to lead the Muskingum men's indoor track and field team to a second-place standing at the Ohio Wesleyan Triangular on Friday.

  • Junior Andre Buffington helped lead the Muskies to a second-place finish with his first place finish in weigh throw with a mark of 15.21 meters.  
  • Freshman Darren McCaughan helped lead the Muskies with a first-place finish in long jump with a mark of 6.55 meters.
  • Senior Chris Lardie finished second in triple jump with a mark of 12.76 meters.
  • Senior Marty Majen finished second in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:11.33.
  • Sophomore Darrell Briggs grabbed a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.64.
  • Senior Desmond Waden placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.72.
  • Freshman Zachary Fuhrer placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.26.
  • Junior Anthony Kall finished sixth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:04.11.
  • Freshman Jordan Wallace placed third in high jump with a mark of 1.77 meters.
  • Sophomore Blake Weidner finished fourth in high jump with a mark of 1.72 meters.
  • Sophomore Jeffrey Burkholder placed second in weight throw with a mark of 12.49 meters and third in shot put with a mark of 14.20 meters.
  • The 4x200-meter relay team of Fuhrer, junior Jimmy Glaze, freshman Casey Phillips, and Weidner place third with a time of 1:39.37.
  • The 4x200-meter relay team of McCaughan, Briggs, Vajen, and sophomore Fred Stinson finished fourth with a time of 1:40.56.
  • The 4x400-meter relay team of Briggs, Fuhrer, senior Corey Dillon, and freshman Brady Hall finished fourth with a time of 4:00.82.
  • The 4x400-meter relay team of Glaze, freshman Andrew Murray, Kall, and freshman Nathan Herrera placed fifth with a time of 4:14.65.
