The Muskingum men's soccer team fell in a physical battle against OAC-foe Marietta on Wednesday night, 2-1.

Inside the Numbers
- The Muskies were led by sophomore Mahfuz Yakubu who had one goal and finished with three shots on the night.
- Senior Blake Weatherholt, senior Ryan Peck, junior Edwin Palou, and sophomore Ryan Watson finished with one shot each.
- Freshman Zach Marchesano grabbed seven saves in 90 minutes of work in goal.
- Marietta was led by Caden Ferguson and Ben Teasdale who each had a goal.
How it happened
- A Caden Fergurson goal in the 21st minute gave Marietta an early 1-0 lead.
- The Pioneers extended their lead, 2-0 in the 56th minute from a Ben Teasdale goal.
- The Muskies cut the lead in half, 2-1 after a Marietta hand ball in the box that drew a made PK from Yakubu in the 63rd minute.
