Muskingum head men's soccer coach Chris Limle has announced the selection of captains for the 2018 season. Senior goalkeeper Josh Routte, senior forward Alex Furst, and sophomore transfer midfielder Michael Horgan will lead the Muskies during their fall campaign.

Furst returns to the field as a captain for the third straight year. In his first three seasons with the Muskies, Furst started in 45 games.

Routte, another returning captain from the 2017 season, enters his final year playing 1529:09 minutes for the Muskies recording a total of 112 saves in goal.

Horgan brings his talents to Muskingum University as a transfer student from Robert Morris University where he played for one year.

The Muskies open their season against Pitt-Greensburg on Friday, August 31 when they host the Appalachian College Soccer Showcase. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
