Freshman Johnny Aisthrope and freshman Jacob Worst each scored a goal in Muskingum's 3-2 loss against Bethany on Thursday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • Freshman Johnny Aisthorpe gave the Muskies a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute on a long-range shot from 55 yards that caught the Bison keeper off his line. The tally was the second of the season for Aisthorpe.
  • Bethany tied the game in the 50th minute on an own goal by a Muskie defender.
  • The Bison took the lead in the 66th minute on Tony Cirri's unassisted goal.
  • Freshman Jacob Worst tied the game at 2-2 in the 69th minute on a 1v1 to goal.
  • Bethany quickly answered and scored the game-winning tally in the 71st minute on Cirri's second goal of the contest.
  • Muskingum ended the contest with nine shots and three corner kicks.
  • Junior Daniel Jennings played the opening 45 minutes in frame and made three saves. Senior Josh Routte played the final 45 in goal and allowed three goals and made two saves.
  • Torben Gretger played all 90 minutes between the pipes and allowed two goals and made three saves.
