Men's Soccer slips in home action

The Muskingum men's soccer team dropped its first home game of the season 7-0 to Transylvania Saturday afternoon at McConagha Stadium. 

The Basics

How It Happened

  • The Pioneers used a six-goal outburst in the first half to secure the win. Jason Murillo and Blake Chidester led the way with two goals each.
  • Alex Shkraba, Josh Morgan, and Drew Angel finished with one goal each for the Pioneers.
  • Sophomore Mitchell Corey led the Muskie attack with four shots.
  • Senior Gage Toy finished the contest with three shots, one on frame.
  • Junior Chris Aboagye took two shots both on frame.
  • Muskingum ended the game with 19 shots and three corner kicks.

Between the Pipes

  • Josh Routte got the start for the Muskies logging 45 minutes of work and surrendering six goals.
  • Sophomore Gabriel Kral got the call in the second half making two saves.
  • Drew Grisham logged 58 minutes, while Ryan Hughes saw 32 minutes of action for the Pioneers.
